Five Albany Med students were recognized at the recent Building the Next Generation of Academic Physicians Career Development Conference with the Trainee Leadership Award. The Trainee Leadership Award recognizes medical students, residents, and/or fellows that exhibit exceptional early educational, research, and/or service scholarship and have strengthened their foundation to serve as a future faculty member. Out of a total of 15 trainee awardees, Albany Med was the only school with more than one honoree. All 5 students were honored for their contributions to USA groups, including SNMA, LMSA, MSPA, and BNGAP. Congratulations to Roselande Marcellon (Class of '21), Sarah Martínez (Class of '22), Tristan Boyer (Class of '20), Grace Rivera (Class of '22), and Samir El-Sawaf (Class of '22)!
